I’m using openSUSE 12.2 KDE 4.9, I instaled cdemu 1.5 from official repos yesterday and I can’t get it to work. The daemon is not listed in yast and when I try to manually start it as a regular user I get this:
Starting CDEmu daemon with following parameters:
- num devices: 1
- ctl device: /dev/vhba_ctl
- audio driver: null
- bus type: session
cdemu0: Device: failed to open control device /dev/vhba_ctl!
cdemud: Daemon: failed to initialize device 0!
Daemon initialization and start failed: Device initialization failed.
And as root:
Starting CDEmu daemon with following parameters:
- num devices: 1
- ctl device: /dev/vhba_ctl
- audio driver: null
- bus type: session
cdemud: Daemon: D-Bus: failed to get proxy for 'org.freedesktop.DBus' on session bus: The connection is closed!
Daemon initialization and start failed: Failed to connect to D-BUS bus.
I found a post about cdemu here: http://forums.opensuse.org/i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ioe-greek/i-i-i-i/i-i-i-iui-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-isi-i-i-ioei-i-i-i-i/i-iui-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-documentation/474821-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-cdemu-i-i-i-opensuse-12-1-kde.html?highlight=cdemu
but it didn’t helped much.
On openSUSE 12.1 I used cdemu 1.3 and it worked without any problems
