I’m not re-installing SUSE tho. I tried to remove settings but that didn’t work. I’ll try that again since I got some updates.
So this looks like the problem we are having:
It seems to be a version mismatch in the repository and not a bug in Compiz… :X
There are new versions in the repositories. Looks messy. Anyone tested already?
I update from
Index of /repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_11.0_KDE4_Factory
and now compiz work rotfl!, but shadow don’t work :.
Transparent of emerald (border) don’t work. :\
Tested it myself and with Xgl nothing works.
The versions in ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_11.0/
works fine again. My compiz is running as it used to 
. I have now:

The version numbers look messy, but it works!

My recent upgrade to 0.7.8 worked fine for me too
