Capacitive touch screen (works weird)

Dear gurus, I have bought a device with 10.1" capacitive touch screen. I have tried OpenSuse Milestone 5 (future release). It works great, but…

My capacitive touch screen positioning cursor correctly but when I touch screen, it is like I clicking mouse for 9 times. One touch of icon of a program… and it opens it 9 times. I looked in hardware information in yast and the name of my touch panel in the following:

UNITEC Touch Panel (Win7)
Vendor number: 205437

It works good, but not useful, because I cannot really touch any icon with my finger, it will open it 9 times…

Maybe somebody knows where to search for an answer?

Thank you for your help)

I would like to point your attention at this problem one more time.

I have installed OpenSuse 11.3 and screen doesn’t work (touch works only like left mouse click, no moving cursor).

I think, that programmers want to make capacitive screen work on new version of OpenSuse, so I can provide you with all necessary info in order to solve this problem for future users and to be sure OpenSuse CAN support capacitive touch screens like on iPad.

Hi
Can you provide the dmesg output for the device as well as information from;

sudo /usr/bin/lsusb -v

Also please wrap the information in code tags.

You may want to open a feature request in openFATE for this - these
forums are more for getting assistance, but if you want to submit a
feature idea, FATE is the place to go to.

Dear malcolmlewis,
Thank you for your interest to this topic.

Can you please send me your e-mail (my is veisongv@gmail.com) and I can send you two files with all output? These are too big to post it here.

Dear Jim,

Thank you for your comment and advice. I have made a topic on openFATE about capacitive touch screen.

Hi
You can copy and paste the output here;
SUSE Paste
Then just post back the URL’s.

Below please find the links to all info I have got about my hardware.

=) I hope we can understand better where to search. =)

SUSE Paste

Full hardware output (from yast) cannot be put on that service so I have uploaded it to rapidshare. (it is really big, 0.5 Megabite of text)

I so happy that you can help me)
