cant update?

i just installed suse 11 ,and i get a notification that i have updates,so i click on the red triangle ,and awindow pops up asking for my password ,no problem.but as soon as i type in my pass. anotherwindow pops up saying"kdesu(12192)/kdesu (kdelibs)KDEsuClient::command:[/usr/src/packagesBUILD/kdelibs-4.0.4/kdsu/client.cpp : 196]no reply from deamon"how can i update my system?it does this every time.i need the bug fixes and the video updates! can anyone help?

Try running zypper dist-upgrade -l in a console as su should show you some errors.
If you don’t understand what they mean post them here

Hi
Use zypper from the command line (konsole), have a look at the man page
(man zypper).

sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper lu
sudo zypper up
