My system has failed to update for at least the last week using either “zypper dup” or KDE discover. Is there a problem with your update system, or how do I troubleshoot my system?
When you run zypper dup as root, what messages are output?
Well,
a couple hours ago, I tried to update using Discover and it Downloaded “Microsoft KEK-CA”. I installed it an rebooted. Nothing updated immediately, but when I repeated just now with zypper to give the error message, it worked!
I think I just have to complain…
Thank you for your quick response.
There were no Tumbleweed snapshots published for a week or so (see openqa ) and snapshot 20251013 just reached the mirrors in the last couple of hours, so maybe you witnessed just that?
Always glad to help - with TW updates in particular, it’s important to check that things have synced up because some of the updates can be quite large.
If you happen to catch it during the sync, that can lead to odd issues.
But if you see errors, telling us what they are (for future reference) is always going to be helpful.
