Hi,
I’m new to opensuse, but have been using ubuntu for a while.
The problem I’m having is it wont let me do updates. Here is the message it gives me.

(Failed to download /suse/setup/descr/packages.en.gz from Index of /distribution/11.3/repo/non-oss/)
.Is on my side or the server itself. I’m using the amd64 version .
Thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome to openSUSE
Do You have internet connection ? Did You try disabling ipv6 ?

Best regards,
Greg](http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3/repo/non-oss/)

Yes i have an Internet connection. no problem there. How can I disable ipv6.

thank you in advance.

Disable IPv6

The repository may also be momentarily offline (Try again after about 30 minutes).

A simple check whether the repository is offline is to use a Web browser to view the repository URL (Do you see an HTTP 500 error or repository files?).

Hi,

I have it working now.

thanks

That’s great to hear. Did disabling ipv6 helped or the repository was down ?

Best regards,
Greg
