I think Print screen will not work, you can use KSnapshot software.
xvidcap or qt-recordmydesktop might help
but ksnapshot will run fro a terminal or you can re-configure the keys in desktop settings
But it was working last time I tried it which was yesterday. o_o
I’m using GNOME btw, how would I set the command?
I don’t use gnome. But there must be a desktop settings you can use, keyboard and mouse section- global shortcuts
I looked at the keyboard shortcuts and “Take Screenshot” was set to “print” which is the correct application. I also have a program called “Take Screenshot” which is perfect. But why isn’t it using it?!
Probably you altered some settings. Try setting everything back to defaults.
Otherwise you can start the screenshot from the menu.
Theres nothing to set to default. All the settings seem to be correct. I liked at the settings for gnome-screenshot which is the “Take Screenshot” app and it is configured correctly. I need to find some place to manually set the print screen to do the command “gnome-screenshot”.
This caused by wrong keyboard configuration. You don’t need to set another hot-key, PrintScreen will also work. Start Sax2 or keytouch and select a compatible keyboard.
Good luck.
This is so confusing. I have the same layout I’ve been using since 11.0. The button is registered, if I go into the keyboards shortcut and change the “Take Screenshot” hotkey, and press the “Print” button, it actually registers it as the “Print” button as it should. But again it feels like saying that command 33 hasn’t been defined.
Any other ideas? I really don’t know what to try anymore, it’s such a bizarre error.
