It probably doesn’t matter why. It well could be this is another 1-click victimization. Zypper dup with only main repos enabled should be able to restore X & KDE to normal operation. It might be best to do this, or at least try, before moving to 15.1.

FWIW the 1-click victimaization is fixed AFAIK, i.e. the ymps require a specific version or have some check-current-version-mechanism in the background.

Fixed for someone running 12.2? Has anybody seriously tested that?

I think it would probably help if the OP gave a better indication of what led to this error, as the original post implies it was a spontaneous event, not linked to a software install or update. (However the presence of TW repositories would suggest otherwise…)

The system was running apparently fine, and then i wanted to open dolphin, but it didnt open, i restarted the computer and then when he tries to enter into KDE (the loading 5 icons) it goes automatically to terminal login.

An indication of the OP’s now preferred route, ie, attempt to restore 12.2, or a fresh install of either current Leap or of Tumbleweed would also help, as further advice could be given if needed.
