Can't sleep after upgrade to 13.1

Hi!

After upgrading from 12.3 to 13.1, sleep doesn’t work anymore. The computer goes to sleep but wakes up immediately. The log shows the following:

Looks like a problem with (or detected by) the noveau driver.

Anyoune knows anything about this?

TIA,
Gunnar

I know this is no help, but you helped me to start the weekend laughing out loud. Have another look at the title of your thread :smiley:

Yeah I see it now!:slight_smile: I think I identify too much with my computer!

Before this, it is suspending, after it is resuming due to the failure to suspend I guess.

me helped adding module ohci_pci to suspend_modules list

trouble been in usb devices (mouse only, my keyboard is PS2)
i turned mouse off and PC suspend correctly.

samle config in usr/lib/pm-util/defaults, copy that file to etc/pm/config.d/(anyname) and edit (uncomment line “suspend_modules” and add your modules)

modules can be others - (usbcore, ehci_hd, …etc) - look in your pm-suspend.log and compare names with list at http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/usb/host/
if your problem in usb, of course.

You might want to report this on bugzilla

I do this. Later. Now i should fix hibernate - it freezing on splash screen :beat-up:

Thanks for the tip. Don’t know how to use it though since I don’t know which module i should add to the suspend list. Yast HW information says that the kernel driver for my mouse is “usbhid” and suspending that doesn’t help. Tried “xhci_hcd” and “firewire_ohci”, the only modules listed by lsmod with the letters “hci” in them. Didn’t help either. The pm-suspend.log doesn’t give me any clues as to which module is blocking which.

Perhaps someone less clueless than me might make sense of it.

TIA,
Gunnar

try this:
SUSPEND_MODULES=“hid_logitech_dj firewire_core”

This little better:

SUSPEND_MODULES="hid_logitech_dj firewire_core firewire_ohci xhci_hcd"

Thank, I’ll save that list for future reference but this morning I decided to give up on the nouveau and use the proprietary nvidia driver. Everything seems to work fine with that one but if it gives me some other problem I’ll try again with nouveau.
