Can't share folder with host OS.

Virtualbox 4.2.6
Host OS: Win 7 Ulti 64bit
Guest OS: openSUSE 12.2 64bit

I’ve already read the official instruction: VirtualBox - openSUSE

However, if I try to re-install guest additions, there is an error saying “building model failor” when I execute “sudo /media/VBOXADDITIONS_*/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run”
If I directly go to Yast to do the second step without re-installing guest additions, I don’t see a vboxsf group.

That’s the exact command you run? Impossible, there is an ‘*’ in there.

I did some search and found it was the missing of kernel-devel or sth, and it suggested to keep the os updated.

I was new to SUSE so I closed the window before the update was completed as I thought it had done all the updates.

So I updated the OS again with all the available new patches and re-did as instructed now everything works fine.

It seems “*” works just fine too.
