Can't see Terastation Pro nas files on network

I am using openSUSE 11.1 with the Gnome desktop and we have a Buffalo Terastation Pro nas on our Windows network.
I can see all the computers and shares on the network, including the Terastation. The problem is, I can see all of the folders in it’s root, but when I click on them, they appear to be empty.
According to Buffalo, it should be able to work with Linux.
Being a newbie to Linux, I don’t have a clue as to what to do.
Thanks for any help you can give.

If that is under Windows, did you make them sharable?

I would assume so as I can read/write to it from my computer and so can others.

I guess Buffalo’s Terastation Pro should be using samba “internally” to
share files (that kind of devices tend to allow various connection methods:
ftp, nfs, samba…).

If so, have you ever tried to “mount” the share (I mean, not
just “accessing/browsing” into it)? :-?

su -c ‘mount -t cifs //terastation/resource /mnt -o
user=terastation_user,password=terastation_user_password’

That command will mount the Terastation share resource directly into /mnt
so you can access files from there.
