Thanks for all that info. Unfortunately it doesn’t shed any light that I can see by. Could you run a diagnostic script, that provides even more information ? You can do that as a regular user, open a konsole/xterm, with PC connected to the internet, and send this command in the konsole/xterm:
/usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh
Select the share/upload option when prompted, and let the script run to completion. After script completes, look in the konsole/xterm, and it will tell you where it uploaded the audio diagnostic information.
Please share the website/URL address here. We can look at that and see if it shares any more information.

I had the same problem: No sound with 15.4 / Firefox / YouTube. After checking at the Net, it seemed to be an ESR problem. I downloaded Firefox for Linux from Mozilla direct, and as I write this ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ is playing in the background. Problem solved.
Playing is via HDMI. It is still working here (with the exception that now it is l’Eilisir d’Amore’). What I downloaded was released 2022-09-09 by Mozilla.
