Can't Reset KDE Plasma Desktop

Hi,

I’ve been playing around with the KDE Plasma (openSUSE 11.4, KDE on a Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge 91z) desktop settings. After trying out Newspaper mode (translation of Zeitungs-Anordnung) I cannot set the desktop back to any other setting. Changes applied to not become effective. Can one tweak the settings by hand, such entries in a config text file or so?

Thanks and bst regards.

H.

you can rename everything plasma* under ~/.kde4/share/apps and
~/.kde4/share/config. these files and directories will be recreated by
plasma in their default state.

phani.

There is no need to post in all bold. When people here have reading problems they are perfectly able to increase the font in their browser localy.

Hi phani,

Thanks for your advice and help. It did work. Great.

Best Regards.

H.

Dag Henk,

Bold print happened by accident. Thanks for your helpful and relevant advice. Since 99.9% on this forum are helpful, nice and friendly
people I will not call my old friend from Rotterdam for some dutch equivalents of 4-letter words adequate for replying to you.

Nog een prettige dag.

Heinrich

Hallo Heinrich,

I was not my intention to shy you away from this forum. But some people seem to think that posting in bold or all capitals will push people to help them. In fact it is counter productive because the volunteers here feel as if they are shouted at and will probably go for another thread. I am glad it was only bold by accident.

And I see you got a relevant answer to you problem, which is nice and is the ultimate reason for existance of this forum.

Recht Schönen Tag noch.

Hi, It’s just that so far I have not met any Dutch people who were not extremely nice. I even had a Dutch girlfriend once in the 70ies.So take care and I will make sure my postings are not imposing in any fashion. All the Best.H.
