can't preview pdf opensuse 11 kde 4

Hi,

I’m just wondering why I can’t preview pdf files in kde 4.1. The problem exists with both dolphin and konqueror, so I suspect it is a kde 4 problem.

I can preview images and djvu files, but no pdfs. I was able to preview everything with 10.3 and kde 3.5

Any help is greatly appreciated

I could almost bet I’d seen pdf previews in Dolphin but they really don’t show up for me. :slight_smile: I’m puzzled by that too.

PDFs are handled by Okular which may not yet have been integrated into Dolphin/Konqueror in the way KPDF was.

This was something that was bothering me for awhile also. I just figured out how to fix it. I ended up installing “kdegraphics4” from the “Factory” repo and I now have the previews for PDF’s and html files in Dolphin.
