Can't play mp3 or m4a even with codecs

I have the following gstreamer plugins:

gstreamer-plugins-ugly-1.4.5-50.3.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-ugly-0.10.19-15.1.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugin-esd-0.10.31-13.1.9.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugin-gnomevfs-0.10.36-11.1.5.x86_64
PackageKit-gstreamer-plugin-1.0.0-4.1.x86_64
libgstreamer-1_0-0-1.4.3-1.4.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-base-1.4.3-1.5.x86_64
gstreamer-1.4.3-1.4.x86_64
libgstreamer-0_10-0-0.10.36-20.3.x86_64
python-gstreamer-0_10-0.10.22-12.2.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-0.10.36-20.3.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.31-85.4.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-0.10.36-15.1.x86_64
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad-0.10.23-172.11.x86_64
phonon-backend-gstreamer-4.8.0-2.4.2.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-ugly-orig-addon-1.4.5-50.3.x86_64
gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.4.5-83.1.x86_64

I can play audio files with mpv, but I can’t play mp3 or m4a using deadbeef or audacious. Deadbeef won’t add the songs, and audacious throws an error saying the file format isn’t found. They can though play wave files. What is the problem?

What repository did you install them from? Did you follow the
instructions in the sticky here on installing multimedia?
