Why do I get the following error message everytime I try to play Netflix using Firefox?

"Whoops, Something went wrong.
Netflix Video Player unavailable.

We’re having trouble playing Netflix on your browser.
Please, check your browser to see if it is an official version of Firefox."

Is the version of Firefox I am using the officirl one or not? I’ve checked the box allowing me to play DRM content, what more do I need to do?

by default DRM is disabled in Firefox the reason being that Firefox downloads a binary blob for DRM support if you want netflix on Firefox enable DRM
hit the hamburger bar (3 horizontal lines button) select preferences and enable DRM

after this Firefox will download the Widevine plugin and you should be able to play netflix you can see if you have the plugin in the plugins tab in about:addons (hamburger bar->add-ons)
