Firefox gives this message when attempting to open a DVD drive from the Konqueror page for “My Computer”:“Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because the protocol (sysinfo) isn’t associated with any program.” Help.
I think you have a bit of a misunderstanding.
Firefox is a whole different application than Konqueror. Currently, as far as I know, only Konqueror can show the My Computer page. My guess is Firefox is the first choice for opening that application, thus you get that error.
From what I just tried, it looks like the link for the DVD in Konqueror doesn’t link to where the DVD is mounted. It just links to sysinfo:/ again. So, unless I’m mistaken, you can’t open a DVD from the Konqueror My Computer page.
