I am using opensuse 11.1 and KDE 4.1
I have installed amsn and filezilla. I try to open but not running.
It don’t give any error.
It seem as opening but program close itself without come to my screen.
I just installed opensuse.
Now, i am using alternative programs.
How can i fix this?

i installed virtualbox ose and it doesen’t open
and i installed avg pro and it’s not listed anywhere

Open a terminal (System->Terminal->Konsole) and enter the name of the program there – i.e., start the program “manually” from the terminal prompt, instead of clicking the launch icon in the K-menu. You should get some error messages that will help you diagnose what’s wrong.
Hint: if you aren’t sure of the program’s executable name, right click on the K-menu, choose “menu editor” and you can find it there. Write it down, then go back to the terminal and start it “manually.”

Maybe you should check the wiki pages if you want to use virtualbox.
VirtualBox Installation - openSUSE.
Actually there is no problem with these applications, you just need to properly install it.

If we compare with windows, if this problem have done in windows, i had thought take format or wait for more problem and format.
Because i do not be able to see what’s error and i cant try find solutions
