Hi, I’ve Leap 42.1 installed on a SSD through USB 3.0 to my Lenovo Z50 laptop. The system has been running smoothly for a long time. Some days ago the system stopped connecting me to my user account. I stlll can connect to root and to a new user account, which I created. I’ve tried to update my old user password: no result. After changing the old user account from Standard to Administrator, during login the system stalls on a display with date and flowing vertical arrows. Is my file-system somehow corrupted? How could I rebuild it? Or would the Group-file be somehow corrupted?
If ok with another user then the problem is somewhere in your pesonal configuration files. Which desktop?
Could possibly be a disk problem or corrupt file system. What FS is on your home partition? Run smartctl to check the drive
Thanks. The laptop is Lenovo Z50-75 and file-system of the homeis Ext4. I think I’ll install Leap 42.2 and take my old data lost. Thanks anyhow.
