Can't launch firefox

Hello
I have a such error when i launch firefox :
<toolbarbutton id ="UITourtipclose " class =“close-icon”
any idea ? My tumbleweed is in a VM , and I installed originally Leap , seems the update to Tumbleweed is not so “perfect”

And you update your Tumbleweed only with:

zypper dup

as root?

With Firefox closed, temporarily rename the file “addonStartup.json.lz4” in your firefox profile directory.

hello
Sauerland : zypper dup as root changed nothing
Tannington :I renamed the indicated file and it works now …perfectlol!
Thanks you very much .
I have also a Suse Leap installed in a dedicated partition -working well - no sure I will update it into Tumbleweed (wich seems a kind of beta version , no ? )

OK - Glad all is working now. You should have a new “addonStartup.json.lz4” created, so the old (renamed) one can be safely deleted.

Tumbleweed isn’t a beta version per se, it’s a rolling release which is normally quite stable enough for regular use. You can read more about it here: Portal:Tumbleweed - openSUSE Wiki

You’ll need to regularly keep up to date by using “zypper dup”. You can follow the factory mailing list at: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/ to see when new “snapshots”, as TW releases are called, are issued.

Also, just noticed you’re new to the forums here. Welcome.
