Can't Install Updates

I have 2 machines running 11.4 but neither one can update it gets to the refreshing software list and stalls at 90%. I have let it sit there for a few hours and no change.

First off, when you post such information, consider using the advanced message editor, highlight just the text and press the code # option to encase it all in a code field. That prevents it from being reformatted. So, I am not having such as issue here, but you seem to have a lot of repositories added. Here is a similar list from my computer using the code field.

Command: zypper repos

# | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh

I suggest paring down the listing to just what is required. Since we are creatures of habit, one of these duplicate entries on the two PC might be the source of your trouble and reducing the entries to something like above might be the answer.

Thank You,

PS, There is a scheduled outage today as well. Not sure if it might also be an issue: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/other-forums/news-announcements/tech-news/458926-upcomming-power-outage-saturday-2011-04-30-a.html

have the same problem on the computer that was updated to 11.4 from 11.3 via repository… If you use GNOME, instead of using “software update”, use “Install/Remove Software”… it works that way.

Does it stall on the same files?
Do you have a 3c905x network card?

Then see Bugzilla 688454.

Or is it only today, Saturday? Services outage. Try Monday.

Hello I can not understand your problem and your post very clearly, but as I see many repos in your repos list.
Could you send the output of this command?

su
# zypper lr 2
# zypper lr 3

I want to see these repos.

And then could you make a

# zypper refresh
 # zypper lr 2

Don’t use “su”, use “su -”.

This looks like some sort of permission warning since the refresh is successful. In root terminal mode you should see the ASCII version of YaST2, but running the GUI YaST2 the OS should ask for the Admin password before proceeding.
