Can't install updates because of error

Hey!

OpenSUSE wants to update, but I get the following error:
the to be installed libOpenCL1-2.3.1-3.1.x86_64 conflicts with ‘nvidia-compute-G06 < 570.0.0’ provided by the installed nvidia-compute-G06-550.127.05-27.1.x86_64

What should I do about this?

Check the forum for existing threads about the same topic:

And when you use zypper dup to upgrade, you can still upgrade the rest of your system in the meantime.

Thanks! So this means that in a few days I will be able to update through YAST?

There’s already a post about this, I think, from a day or two ago.

But more importantly, you should NOT be using Discover to do updates for TW. Always use “zypper dup” command. It will allow you to choose between options if there is a conflict.

EDIT: and do NOT use Yast either. Only “zypper dup” for TW

Whats the point then that Discover shows up that updates are available? Or whats the point of YAST as well?

By the way what should I choose here?

  3. megoldás: keep obsolete libOpenCL1-2.3.1-2.4.x86_64

Solution 3

Discover and YaST do not give you any solver choices (as you have seen yourself) when there are package conflicts.
