can't install unetbootin on opensuse 11.4

hi i want to install unetbootin on my device.i tried to install it via one click install.after finishes all it says all installations are successfully finished.but i can’t find unetbootin on my system.how to fix this problem?

It works from the terminal.
I usually just download the script and run that

how to do that(run the script)?

You download the file from: UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads

Follow the direction in section 2

Or if you installed it from a repo
Use that

i can’t understand both.where is that section 2 and how can i use the respository?

Section 2 here:

If using Linux, make the file executable (using either the command chmod +x ./unetbootin-linux

If you open konqueror and type this in the location bar

man:unetbootin

that may help you (I have to run)

please don’t treat me like an advanced user.i am a beginner only.please try to add more words in your reply.if i type man:unetbootin and i got the following

KDE Man Viewer Error
No man page matching to unetbootin found.

Check that you have not mistyped the name of the page that you want.
Check that you have typed the name using the correct upper and lower case characters.
If everything looks correct, then you may need to improve the search path for man pages; either using the environment variable MANPATH or using a matching file in the /etc directory.

and the output for chmod +x ./unetbootin-linux is

chmod: cannot access `./unetbootin-linux': No such file or directory

and i have downloaded unetbootin-linux executable file from unetbootin home page for linux.

Try:

chmod +x ./unetbootin-linux-549.bin

Be sure you are in the directory of the file

And then to start it

./unetbootin-linux-549.bin

same output appeared for the command chmod +x ./unetbootin-linux-549.bin.

You need to be in the directory you downloaded the file to.

sorry for taking long time to reply i entered the following command is this correct

chmod +x /home/downloads/unetbootin-linux-549.bin

but i found the same output

chmod: cannot access `/home/downloads/unetbootin-linux-549.bin': No such file or directory

is above correct?i am having unetbootin.bin in my downloads folder.

It’s unusual to be as you show:
/home/downloads

Normally it is
/home/vike4/Downloads
(where vike4 is your username?) (Please also note the capital D in Downloads) You need to be exact

To be sure. Use Dolphin to Navigate to the folder where the file is > Right click > Actions > open terminal here

i think this time i entered the code correctly following i entered

chmod -x /home/vicky/Downloads/unetbootin-linux-549

but this time there was no response.what to do next?

You need +x, not -x, as you’re adding execute permissions rather than
removing them.
