Well I have tried other softwares to install opensuse 12.3 kde to usb but while booting from usb they all are giving error like failed to find mbr identifier. so I tried imagewriter to write iso to the usb (https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick) but its constantly giving error like access denied. So I deleted the usb partition to make it raw using a partition tool named EaseUS partition master but after that same error continued to occur and I have tried all the steps given on that page. I am using windows 8. Any help?
You did run it as Administrator, right? (right-click on icon and choose “Run As Administrator”)
But Imagewriter seems to have a problem on Windows 8.

Try this one: Tools for OSForensics - ImageUSB - Write an image to multiple USB Flash Drives
This is reported to work on Windows 8.
And it successfully and correctly writes the openSUSE 12.3 image to an USB stick. I tried that myself.
If your PC is using UEFI boot or secure boot, you may need to go into PC setup to select the USB drive or like my PC, I can also press F12 and select the boot device without making a PC setup change. If you have a DVD burner, I can suggest you download the Live KDE DVD from here:
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.3/iso/openSUSE-12.3-GNOME-Live-x86_64.iso
Load up the Live session, boot from the DVD and then get my Live USB burning app from here. You will need a working openSUSE session with network for it to work. Open up terminal and paste in this command:
rm ~/bin/sclu ; wget -nc http://paste.opensuse.org/view/download/85914606 -O ~/bin/sclu ; chmod +x ~/bin/sclu
Then run sclu from terminal and download three more apps and it will be ready to download any image you want and burn it to a USB stick.
Thank You,
Thank you for this. It seems to have worked perfectly for making a bootable usb drive of OpenSUSE 13.1 RC2 on Windows 8.1.
Sir: thx to U and that tool I got ******openS **running 21 days ago!

Why don’t you add a section for this in:

I added a comment on the talk page - this doesn’t need review.
