Can't install One-Click Multi-Media codecs

I’m trying to install ffmpeg using the One-Click Multi-Media codec page at 13. Multimedia Codecs - Install Support For MP3, DVD, WMA, WMV, MOV etc. for 12.3 and I get the following error after allowing changing the vendor from openSUSE to Packman,

YaST got signal 11 at YCP file PackagesUI.ycp:294
/sbin/yast2: line 431: 9514 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module “$@” “$SELECTED_GUI” $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS

Anyone know what I’ve done wrong now??

I also tried using Restricted formats/12.3 - openSUSE Community Wiki, the Gnome link.

Only follow these guiides:

For openSUSE 13.1 use: openSUSE 13.1 Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

For openSUSE 12.3 use: openSUSE 12.3 Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

Thank You,

Ok, that did the trick! Maybe that link should be added to the stickies on this sub-forum.

Thanks a ton for the fix!

Oops… maybe spoke too soon. Converted an webm to .mp4 and tried to play the .mp4. Got the following errors:

cannot install both gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.0.5-2.1.1.i586 and gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.2.1-4.2.i586
cannot install both gstreamer-plugins-libav-1.2.0-2.1.i586 and gstreamer-plugins-libav-1.2.0-2.1.i586
cannot install both gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.2.1-4.2.i586 and gstreamer-plugins-bad-1.2.1-47.1.i586
gstreamer-plugins-bad-orig-addon-1.2.1-4.2.i586 requires gstreamer-plugins-bad >= 1.2.1, but this requirement cannot be provided

So, I am using 64 bit and have the older app versions loaded that you show. Consider we are not yet at final release of openSUSE 13.1 and I am going to reinstall the GM when released along with the current multimedia and we are just a little early at the moment where not everything is lining up on version numbers.

Thank You,

Got it… So, I’ll sit tight until 13.1.
