I download the RPM and just as soon as I click the continue button I get this error:
“[PK_TMP_DIR|dir:///var/tmp/TmpDir.Awtb8z] Repository already exists.”
Any help getting this app installed will be appreciated.

google earth needs the 32bit libraries, install Mesa-32bit if you are
running openSUSE 64 bit and try again if another library is missing.
In a terminal
su -
zypper in Mesa-32bit
or do it with yast.

How do I move my system panel from the top to the bottom?
Please start a new thread for this one, indicating your openSUSE version, desktop used etc. The more you provide us with information, the faster and better we can help you.

why are you running that as root??
google earth is an internet application and if run it as root it is a
FAR too easy attack vector…
never ever run any mail program, browser or internet app (like google
earth) as root…ever…
if you ran it as root because you logged into KDE, GNOME or other
desktop environment as root, then don’t do that either…
if you want to know how to do admin duties while logged in as yourself,
just ask…i can point you to some good (system saving) stuff, like:

I was running as root because I had another issue that required me to root - I just forgot to close the session for this issue
Never ever log into a GUI as ROOT you can damage your system very accidentally. Any time you need to be root you can do it from a console or terminal or use kdesu or gnomesu to start a GUI process as root such as a file browser.
