Can't install codecs

New installation 11.3 64bit KDE. When I follow the restricted format guide zypper informs me that…

Problem: nothing provides libfaad.so.2()(64bit) needed by libquicktime0-1.1.5-101.pm.102.2.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides libfaad.so.2()(64bit) needed by libxine1-codecs-1.1.19-1.pm.44.3.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides libfaad.so.2()(64bit) needed by vlc-noX-1.1.4.1-1.pm.3.15.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides libfaac.so.0()(64bit) needed by MPlayer-1.0rc4_r31930-1.pm.3.4.x86_64

If I install by ignoring the dependencies Kaffeine and Xine do not function.

I could swear it worked fine on the last installation.

So you have to have the packman repository added which is found here:

http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/11.3/”](http://%22http://packman.jacobs-university.de/suse/11.3/%22)

And if you want to be able to play movies you need to download libdvdcss only from this repository:

http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/11.3/”](http://%22http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/11.3/%22)

Do not include the quotes included on either link. If you have not done so, I would try out the following script that can help detect codec issues with your setup:

MMCHECK - Check Your Multimedia in 10 Steps - Script File, as proposed by RedDwarf

Some items here may be redundant for you, but I referenced them to you just in case.

Thank You,
