Hi!
Im strugling to get my laptop to work with the ATI-gfx.
Computer it Acer TM4001WLMi with ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64BM dedicated memory.
OS11.1 “radeon”-driver crash my computer, but the vesa-driver work ok.
Now i downloaded the latest ATI-driver for Mobility Radeon 9700 and execute “init 3”.
Login as root and execute the ati.run-file
The installation goes almost without problem, men at the very end it exit with error.
In the ati-install-log it say something to manual enter ati-install.sh file to install the driver into the kernel.
So i did so but it want work and it end with the error:
Cannot allocate memory
Ok! Now im still running “vesa” but i wish i could configure it to 1280x800 and not 1024x768
Anyone?
