Can't install Amarok 2.1(beta 1)

Hello:
Well, I’m just new to the Linux world, so I ask you a little patience…I will try to do my best.

I was using amarok 1.4,it works fine but then I try to use Amarok 2.0 (2.0.2-34), finally got playing songs on it (I had to solve a problem with the sound backend). But there is a problem with this Amarok version: No Last.fm scrobbling.

I google about it, and found that this problem is fixed in Amarok 2.1 (the beta version). I try to install using 1- click from this link Webpin. It installed, but when I execute the app, icon bounces and nothing happen.

Also I try to build from source, but it ask me the Qtscripting package (A package already I have). Also try installing using SVN, from this link, but it stops in “Performing Test BINDINGS_RUN_RESULT”.

I really like the new features and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m running OpenSuse 11.1 with KDE 4.2.2 “release 110”.
Also my repos are:
1 | Packman Repository | Packman Repository | Yes | Yes
2 | home:pantsgolem | home:pantsgolem | Yes | Yes
3 | openSUSE-11.1-Oss | openSUSE-11.1-Oss | Yes | Yes
4 | openSUSE:Factory | openSUSE:Factory | Yes | Yes
5 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.1-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes
6 | repo-update | openSUSE-11.1-Update | Yes | Yes

Thanks in advance.

I’m using this repo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/arcticblaze:/KDE4/standard/x86_64/
and Amarok has been fine for me (no idea what scrobbling is but Last.fm
works). You need to run amarok from the command line to see what the
errors are

Suse 11.1 x64, Kde 4.2.1, Opera 10.x weekly

Somebody else had the same problem with scrobbling and LAST.FM. You might search around the posts here and find it. Try downloading from the link the other poster gave you.

Thank you very much!!!
google01103 your repo worked perfect. Now I’m a happy Amarok 2.1 user. Also the last.fm scrobbling (scrobbling means submitting your songs to your profile) works.

Now I’m trying to play .wma files (from my winbugs time), just installing the appropriate libs (Hope this would solve the problem), but I really would like to change the format. Any idea in how to change the format??

Again thank you

I LOVE Perl Audio Convertor (Especially with Dolphin). Just search with YAST and convert away. I would suggest .ogg ,but then again all my equipment plays ogg files.
