I downloaded the new version and tried to install it under VirtualBox on my notebook, a HP Elitebook 8470p with Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit (it is a company box with preinstalled OS).
Under that VB, I have running Solaris 11 64bit, Solaris 10 64bit, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Aptosid Thanatos and Hesperides 64 bit (Debian Sid Linux).
When trying to boot the OpenSuse iso, I receive a message that it cannot be started because my box were a 32bit computer. That is rubbish as denoted above. Kindly advise how to get OpenSuse 13.1 running.
Is simple.
In Virtualbox, when you create a new “Linux” machine (any distro), Virtualbox <by default> selects the 32-bit VM Guest.
So, after you create a brand new Virtualbox Linux Guest, you <always> have to doublecheck the Guest properties, and one will be to change from a 32-bit Guest to a 64-bit Guest.
