Hello
I need a little help getting Skype to run. I downloaded and then installed it after making sure I had all the required items installed. When I click on Skype all that happens is the bouncing S comes on my screen and runs for a minute or so then disappears without Skype ever running. Any ideas on what this could be, or what I should be checking for?

The best way to “debug” the problem us open a terminal window (console) and run skype. just type “skype” without the quotes and see what error message is printed. I bet you are missing a package, especially if you are runing skype on a 64bit machine.
