Can't get a Flash Player installed

I’ve been trying to install one based off of previous threads and I simply can’t do it. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but nothing will work. Any help would be great. I’m not familiar with the jargon either, so go easy on me. Thanks alot.

Open a terminal and do:

uname -a

post result and we can advise. It would help if we know if you are kde or gnome.

I am assuming you are working with 11.1 and if not here is one way to try.
go to yast and open it up you will then see a heading listed as software management. open that up and in the search bar to the left type in “flash” and flash stanalone player will be listed. click accept and it should install automatically when it is done restart your system and it should be in there.

if not then we can try something else…

Ok, this is the output that I get.

Linux linux-016c 2.6.27.7-9-pae #1 SMP 2008-12-04 18:10:04 +0100 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

In a terminal switch to su and do:

zypper in flash-player

I did the above and it worked. Thank you very much for your time and the quick responses.
