Can't even see my network

I only just installed OpenSuse 12.1 kde onto my notebook last night. I connected to my wifi perfectly fine, but after than I restarted my computer and my wifi network won’t even show up. Our neighbours will but not mine, even though it is fine on all my other computers.

I tried restarting a few times. After a while the Internet was connecting and it asked if I want to use Kwallet.

I clicked on no, and the problem happened again.

Another reset and it asks for my wifi password again. Halfway through entering it said problem connecting to network and despite me continuing and entering my password the problem persisted.

My wifi network won’t even show up when Inlick on the wifi symbol.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like maybe there’s a driver missing. What is your hardware
configuration, including which wifi card you’ve got?

If you open a terminal and run the command ‘sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan’, does it
show? If yes, and not in NM, it is a NetworkManager problem.

Sorry I have not replied until now. I got the problem fixed and have being very busy since.

I ran sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan’ and it did show, it was a network manager problem. I do not know why but one day the problem seemed to just fix itself.

Again sorry and thanks for your help.
