I keep getting messages on 12.1 that says I have updates (185). When I try to install it waits a while and then gives:
Download (curl) error for ‘http://download.opensuse.org/update/12.1/i586/aaa_base-12.1-534.113.1.i586.rpm’:

I am not sure that download.o.o is running full tilt yet. Perhaps it is really
busy resynching the databases. I had a number of network drops on an update I
did today. Just give it the ‘r’ when it times out.
Well… there’s the good news and then the bad news. The good news is that I change the DNSs to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and it updated the software!
The bad news is that I went into Yast and can’t get Software Management, Package Search, or Software Repositories to open. I click on any of them and just get a watch. I’ll open another post so I’m not corrupting this one.
It seems your system is attempting to use IPv6.
“Failed to connect to 2001:67c:2178:8::13: Network is unreachable”
Silly question: Do the update repositories allow IPv6?
Have you tried forcing your system to use IPv4 (disable IPv6 support in yast: Yast -> Network Devices -> Network Settings -> Global Options -> En/Dis-able IPv6)?
