Cant control volume from userland

Hi,
I just did a fresh install of Leap 42.3 and configured it as usual except i cant control volume from Gnome.
I have 5.1 surround that I configure every install and must have done something different this time around.
First enable 6ch audio in /etc/pulse/deamon.conf and map the speakers, then run alsamixer and enable the channels. But I did something different and Gnome cant see any audio device, pavucontrol and mixer dont have access. Sound works on all channels but user doesnt have control.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong so i dont reinstall just to see what I missed.
Thank you

Is your user in the audio group?

In an attempt to make it work I added user to audio and pulse group, still same result

Can you control it with pavucontrol?

No, connection failed to server

As User:

pulseaudio --dump-conf

Did you start it as root?

Solved!
So this command told me I was missing ˝=˝ in one line for mapping channels.
Apparently my ****** multimedia keyboard isnt working well.
Thanks for the help guys i was about to flip and reinstall
