Hello.
I am trying to use the Cloned MAC address feature with KnetworkManager and my wireless. It helps in troubleshooting when your MAC stands out. It works great with open connections but it seems to be having difficulties with WPA. I get a “MIC failed in WPA2 key” error on the wireless controller.
In the wpa-supplicant log I get:
Trying to authenticate with d8:c7:c8:96:72:c8 (SSID=‘DISTRICT’ freq=5805 MHz)
Trying to associate with d8:c7:c8:96:72:c8 (SSID=‘DISTRICT’ freq=5805 MHz)
Associated with d8:c7:c8:96:72:c8
WPA: 4-Way Handshake failed - pre-shared key may be incorrect
CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED bssid=d8:c7:c8:96:72:c8 reason=3
The MAC address I entered in to clone was 00:00:f3:fa:ce:07. Is the Cloned MAC address working with WPA2 for anyone else or is this a larger bug?
Thanks.
