Can't connect to the Internet

I really like OpenSuse. I had great results with 10.0, it installed ok and the wireless connection worked. I have installed 11.0, but it won’t connect. I have a Atheros Ar5005G Wireless Network Adapter on my Toshiba a105 s2001 lapop. I read a section about using the command line to corrrect it, but it was beyond me. I can’t, of course, connect to download any new sofware unless I download files with Windows and then install them somehow. I want to set up my laptop with all the Ham radio software that is available for 11.0.

I did manage to connect to the internet with the ethernet port–now to try to find what I need to get the WiFi to work!

Open a thread in the Wireless Forum. Even better read the stickies and
the posts that deal with your card.

Still no luck. I read OpenSuse new users percentages are going down–also a recent review rating lower because of hardware detection. Could the two be tied together? For a new non guru user I would think hardware detection would be number one on he list. I may just have to go back to Ubuntu.
