Please someone help me :’(

Looks like the problem is Server side, they didn’t set your account up correctly.
Contact them and include the lines toward the end of what you posted, including the line I highlighted in red.

This would seem to be the problem. You’re trying to connect with a user
that does not have a home directory or that doesn’t have access to their
home directory. That’s where I’d start looking.

Hi
It’s only a port forwarding service… no shell access!

Our SSH Account only for tunnelling protocol (port forwarding) without
shell access.

If you want a free unix shell account, try something like
https://sdf.org/

Thank you all for replying me back

well, I switched to my windows machine, tried to connect to the same account using PUTTY and I got the same error message!
after that tried to connect using bitvise and I got it successfully connected, and also could use the SSH tunnel

so maybe Putty behave differently to bitvise

so what do you think the problem is and how I may solve it?

Well you are right I stopped getting the error message after I put -N
I put something like this “ssh fastssh.com-putty1@lu.serverip.co -L 1080:lu.serverip.co:22 -N”
then I change the proxy setting in the web browser but I still get error message every time I enter a web site in the url and hit enter, and nothing changed

Hi
So in the bitvise client, are there settings/log files on what you do there?

It finally worked it was my mistake anyway
well I was targeting SSH tunneling
and after watching some youtube videos I understood the differences between Dynamic, local, and remote port forwarding
All I did was

ssh -D 8080 username@ssh-server -N

and worked perfectly with me
thanks to y’all for help
