I just installed a clean openSUSE 13.2 on a virtual machine. Whenever yast tries to connect to my online repositories, it stucks, and won’t download any data.
VM-Configuration: Network Adapter: bridged (Automatic)
Actual I’m in a network without Internet access, using VPN to connect to another network with internet access.
ping www.somewebsite.com is working fine
Any ideas what’s wrong here?

This is a question that would be better posted in this site’s Virtualization forum. That being said, is your host system able to reach the net without problems? Is the host system an openSUSE or Windows system?
I thought about this, but regarding the fact, that I got internet-access and I can ping whatever website I want, I think this is more a network specific problem, then virtualisation.
If a Mod is thinking this is the wrong topic, would someone be so kind and move the topic for me (if possible)?
Well, IMHO this is OK in the network subforum, but it might not be an issue at all, but a matter of slow repos. The openSUSE systems are under heavy load atm with the release of LEAP ( and a lot of syncing to mirrors ). Slow to no download speeds were reported yesterday.
If the issue persists, please show some output, f.e. of
First of all thank you for trying to help me. I didn’t got my Notebook with me today, but I’m actual installing a new openSUSE13.2 on the same network I was in yesterday to make sure it’s a problem of the network I was in using my notebook or if it’s a openSUSE problem. So right now I can’t post the output, I can do this later the day after work (in 8-9 hours).

Well, the first repo in my list was opensuse non-oss … it stuck on the first file. I waited 2 hours, nothing happened. Possible it matches what you’ve said. I can check this soon when my other machine is installed.
