Can't connect to my Windows 7 Homegroup

It shows up in Go in the Computer Browser but won’t allow me to connect to it.

It could be the same problem as here: Samba; from linux to windows shares, how? - openSUSE Forums.

Yeah, unfortunately that doesn’t provide me with any practical help. Haven’t people configured a Windows 7 homegroup with Linux? I would think this would be very simple at this point. There is a code that is entered on each Windows 7 machine that is generated once by the host and that code is inputed to connect to the Homegroup, which provides partial access to the other computers including printers, DVD/CD drives and other hard drives plus limited connectively to the main C:/. There should be a simple way to enter the code and enter the Homegroup. This is actually very hard with Samba Server which seems to be configured for LAN/WAN Server status.
