Can't connect to Internet. [openSUSE 11.4 KDE]

First: I’m using Linux (physical installed, no VMware) since 1 day now.
I also have WinXP installed…

The problem I can’t connect to Internet :’(

I have a DSL/LAN Modem: Aon SpeedTouch 510 Ethernet
I also tried to add a connection.
I filled out Username, Password, IP, DNS, etc… with all the information, but I can’t get a connection.

The Driver CD is useless, because it’s only for Win98-Vista ::\

Under XP, the connection says: WAN Miniport (PPTP)
In Linux I wasn’t able to find PPTP.

Can someone help me with this.

I want DELETE Windows XP, because I need the space… :stuck_out_tongue:

Does that thing dial on demand in XP, it’s not an always on device?

If it is, they are tricky AFAIK
Most everyone I know that uses linux has a proper router

Someone may know more than me, but I did have one of these speedtouch devices yonks ago and had to build a driver to the kernel.

IIRC there was a folder on my CD with firmware to build the driver for linux

the modem uses a dial-up connection VPN
on the cd are only exe files and some installation readme’s for windows up to vista

That sounds odd
I know nothing of this

Someone may though
Google it too
