Hi guys,
I am using Opensuse 11.1 with KDE 4.1.3. I tried to configure my sound devices from YaST, and here’s what I get:
YaST got signal 11 at YCP file sound/read_routines.ycp:185
/sbin/yast2: line 437: 22448 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS
rpm -q libqt4
produces
libqt4-4.4.3-4.8.2
, which should be all right. Tried to use cleanlooks widget style for QT using the
qtconfig
. Nothing seems to work Anyone here with the same problem?
I think some who have had this downgraded ‘yast2-qt-pkg’
You might have to try doing that from level 3
as su run
yast
There is a known bug in openSUSE-11.1 for the YaST sound test function and YaST volume control. Depending on the user’s hardware, either the volume setting will cause a seg fault, or the test function will cause a seg fault.
One can always use ‘alsaconf’ to adjust one’s sound and when testing for sound functionality use one of the 3 tests for sound documented here: SDB:AudioTroubleshooting - openSUSE
In particular, this sound test usually works well:
speaker-test -c2 -l5 -twav
and one can use one’s mixer (kmix for kde and alsamixer for gnome) to adjust volume levels.
