Is the dell inspiron 1300 in the keyboard layout in the system settings?
It might help setting it up there
Where do I check that?
In xfce I’m not sure
But in kde it’s called ‘system settings’
in gnome it’s: ‘control centre’
Where ever you configure all the desktop. But it’s possible in Yast too isn’t it
if you are asking for model, to be able to adjust volume too, I found something like this,
go in your keyboard settings, and to where you manage your shortcuts,
type: amixer set Master 10%+ as command; and when it ask you for key, press your volume up key with “fn”; -> this would make volume up work; same goes for;
amixer set Master 10%-
and for the mute and unmute; use;
amixer set Master toogle
I hope this helps…
