I am trying to access my package manager. However it tells me that is unable to access it. Is there a fix for this?
Yast does not start??
A little bit more explanation would help.
You are opening YaST GUI or trying some thing from terminal.
Either way, usually this behaviour is caused by the updater-applet (and as annoying as this may be, it still makes sense). Deactivate it or configure its update-intervals according to your needs.

Yet it will probably happen again, since the updater-applet checks for updates every 24 hours. Be aware of that.
