My CanoScan 9000F worked for about one year without any problem. Recently it just stops to communicate with the computer. I use it with windows 7, already reinstalled the driver and also reinstalled the windows but did not change the problem. Some one have any suggestion how to fix this problem? is there any means to resent this scanner ? Please help !
- Please start by telling us which version of openSUSE and desktop environment you’re using.
- Which scanning application are you using?
- Do either of the following commands detect your scanner (assuming USB-attached)?
sane-find-scanner
scanimage -L
The sane-pixma backend is reported as the correct driver for your scanner:
http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-CANON
Make sure that /etc/sane.d/dll.conf has the pixma backend uncommented (no ‘#’) like this
#p5
#pie
#pint
pixma
#plustek
If all that checks out, perhaps there has been a regression and we can check bug reports, and/or consider upgrading to sane version 1.0.24.
