Canon MF655CFD / missing driver

Hi everyone,

have you managed to install drivers for this printer?
i did install rpm package, printer exists in Printers, even looks there is sort of communication between Suse and Canon but not printing.
on Canon web page there is no official driver for Suse, only Debian, Fedora or so.

any comments, recommendation ?

i used same driver…

And is it working?
If no maybe cups-airprint is working for printing and sane-airscan is working for scanning.

i tried to connect with TCP and it did not work even the connection wizard showed some test connection success.

i connected via USB and printer was automatically detected on the USB port.

i used two different drivers both failed.
below the error from /var/log/cups/ from the error_log.
any help??

Dear All,

strange. after many attempts printer works now.
i cannot print the test page (so for me it was info that the configuration is wrong).
but printing from LibreOffice Writer works normally.

so printer is tested :slight_smile:

For completeness, please share the output from

lpstat -s

That lets others who come searching know the working printer URI and underlying driver for each configured printer.
