Canon ip 2600 printer

I have been working on this problem for a while and i have found a solution to this printer.
the IP 2600 from canon will work with 11.2 the first step is to get the drivers from the canon/asia.com website it is a tar file and needs to be extracted.
step two is to install the 32 bit runtime files into your system as these drivers will (only work with 32 bit and not 64 bit) once you have these installed.plug the printer into your system and it will configure itself.
also remember you have to load the common file first then the second file if you do not you will get an error telling you the common file is needed.
then press the test page button and it should print just fine you can then adjust the resolution to your needs.
post if you have any problems and we will see if we can help.

I did a small post here
32 bit runtime files - openSUSE Forums
inquiring about what 32 bit runtime files were and where I might get them.
I think I have figured this out but want to check, for sure.
I installed the 32 bit cups libraries and went ahead and installed the printer drivers. All seems to be working fine, but I would inquire if there might be other files that were also needed? thank You.
