I’m not Linux savvy. I have Opensuse 12.2 installed in dual-boot with Windows 8.
The wireless card is working. I can see several wireless networks. I just cannot see mine.
This is perplexing as I connected to it the first time without a problem.
The wireless router is fine as I am connected on it with my desktop and can do so with my Android tablet.
Are these symptoms familiar to anyone?

What component cannot “see” your AP? Is it the nm-applet, or is it not seen with
the command ‘sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan’?
If it is the applet, please use the connection manager to check the settings.
Some people have success toggling the “System Connection” box.
Sorry that I cannot give you specific suggestions as you failed to state what
desktop you use.
Hi,
It is seen with that scan command:

It is not visible in the little applet near the clock in the bottom right hand corner.

Delete all connections in the connection manager, and reinstall them. That
usually sorts it out.
Thanks. That did solve the problem. Where are my problem solving skills!?
It’s almost a version of turning it off and turning it on again, which seems to solve so many problems in IT. Even Linux.
