Cannot right-click on Desktop in KDE 4.2

I just upgraded my Suse 11.1 installation to KDE 4.2. So far, so good,
except for a couple things. The text in the panel is very difficult to
read. I figured a theme change would help, and that led to the next
problem. I can’t right-click on the dekstop in order to get to the
setting to change the plasma theme. I also can’t change my wallpaper,
etc.

Is there a fix for this right-click issue, or another way to get to the
plasma settings so I can change the theme?

Thanks!

You might want to try resetting the plasma settings by deleting wherever
they’re stored, I can’t seem to find the place… but some googling
probably does the trick.

I usually just do a mv .kde4 .kde4old from the commandline to start
with ‘fresh’ settings to avoid problems.
