After upgrading from 13.1 to 13.2 on my 64bit desktop, I cannot play any sound files from Soundcloud. I have no trouble playing them on either my Windows 10 laptop or my old 32 bit Linux machine running 13.1. Can anyone give me a hint at what might be causing this problem? Thank you.
Do you have packman did you dup to packman, what’s your repo list?
zypper lr -d
Thank you very much. After installing the Packman Repository and the rpmkey, it works. I did not know that it had to be done manually. Again thanks. You guys always seem to have the answers!
if I’m not mistaken the problem with soundcloud is adobe’s flash, it use to come in the non-oss repo, I’m not sure what happened but apparently adobe didn’t like opensuse hosting it and was removed, after the removal packman (which is a community repo) started hosting adobe’s flash as they already host google’s pepper flash.
on the other hand firefox relays on the operating system for restricted codecs so packman is needed for so called html5 multimedia without packman firefox can’t decode patented file types.
